British boxer Anthony Joshua Discharged from Hospital in Lagos Following Deadly Car Crash

The British boxer Anthony Joshua has been released from care, Nigerian authorities confirmed on late Wednesday. The 36-year-old was involved in a car accident near Lagos on the 29th of December, a horrific crash that claimed the lives of two of his valued colleagues.

Healing from Light Wounds

The boxer had remained in the hospital while healing from his light wounds, representatives had said on Monday. The Lagos state commissioner for information, Gbenga Omotoso, confirmed in an update on X that Joshua was declared medically stable to “recuperate at home”.

“The boxer and his mother were at the funeral home in Lagos this afternoon to say their last goodbyes to his two friends who passed away as they were being readied to be sent home,” the official remarked.

Honoring the Deceased

The victims of the crash were confirmed to be Latif Ayodele, a fitness coach, and Sina Ghami, a conditioning specialist. The official further stated that the athlete was heartbroken and overcome with emotion over the passing of his two dear friends.”

The news of his discharge follows the global fight fans offered sympathy for the star in the aftermath of the devastating accident.
