FC Barcelona Ready for Historic Fixture at Upgraded Camp Nou this Saturday
The club confirmed their first game will take place at the partially upgraded Camp Nou over the weekend. Athletic Bilbao will visit the Bilbao team in La Liga over two years since relocating so building work could begin.
“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”
Attendance will be limited though over 45,000 attendees can be present as per the current authorization. Once fully finished, the stadium’s capacity will reach close to 105,000 fans, up from the previous 99,000. The club said finished work included an updated entryway for the team along with upgraded changing facilities.
Recent Activities
Barça organized an open training session at the Camp Nou in early November. They mentioned they were hoping for permission by UEFA to host the next European match against Eintracht Frankfurt next month at Camp Nou. Their recent games have been held at the Olympic Stadium.
