The young golfer can count on multiple prominent cheerleaders when she begins her professional golf debut on Thursday.
The 18-year-old athlete, who is related to Donald Trump, obtained a special exemption to play at the Annika tournament in Florida.
Her grandfather, an avid golfer, owns multiple international courses and often competes against his granddaughter.
"He's fairly competent. I can't say much but we play some close matches," she mentioned.
She mentioned that Trump, unable to come, counseled her: "Simply avoid anxiety."
"He basically suggested to compete and enjoy myself," she added.
"From my perspective, he's just an ordinary family member. He can't make it for the tournament. He's focused on presidential duties, making him rather occupied."
While still amateur, Kai has played in only three events this year and maintains the 461st position in the American Junior Golf Association listings.
Yet she's able to seek guidance from 15-time major champion, in a relationship with Kai's mother.
"He represents the best player worldwide," Kai stated.
"Additionally, he's a superior human being. He told me to play, relax, and go with the flow."
Kai will face multiple the biggest names in professional golf at the competition, including second-ranked the champion, British Charley Hull, Lexi Thompson and 2023 champion champion Vu.
Tournament organizers stated that her participation helps introduce the sport to different demographics, especially among the next generation.
The social media influencer has a massive following and has started her own apparel and wellness label.
The competition starts at late afternoon GMT.
